Oxford United are pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Talbot as Manager.
Brian brings a wealth of experience to the role, with over 600 games as a manager at West Brom, Rushden and Diamonds and Oldham Athletic, as well as close to 700 appearances as a player for Ipswich, Arsenal, Watford, Stoke, West Brom, Fulham and Aldershot. The 51 year old also won six full caps for England.
Brian is the man who guided Rushden to promotion from The Conference and then built a side that won the Third Division in 2002/3, losing just seven times and playing bright attractive football. He then joined Oldham, where he guided the club away from relegation in his first season before leaving by mutual consent in February
Brian was unveiled as United's new manager at a 3pm press conference at the Kassam Stadium.
