Jake R.I.P.
Jake is no longer with us, he's gone to the big Dog Kennel in the sky and it's bloody horrible not having him around. Rather romantically it snowed on his last day with us, so he got to enjoy himself in the snow again for a while.
I've finally got rid of the crap that I had on the site, it's the same old same old - I never update, so there's no point in it being here. Still got all the Recommended stuff though.
Well, I haven't heard about that job, so tomorrow I start looking properly, even if it means a stupid Xmas temp job in a shop I suppose.

Jaguar 'E' Type
Well I've just blown all of my savings on a Camcorder as we are taking Jake to the beach for one last time. Maybe a bit morbid, but fuck it.
Need For Speed Most Wanted is out tomorrow, but Game managed to get it to me this morning, very impressed with their service. If only I wasn't unemployed they would be sending out an Xbox 360 to me soon. Nevermind, there's more important things in life.

Lotus Carlton
First job today was to take Jake to the Vets, he's not been well recently and has lost a lot of weight this last month. I'm taking him to the Vet again on Friday evening, and this time he won't be coming home.
Went to see the new Harry Potter film today, not bad, not great.
Saw The Fifth Element for the first time the other day, awesome film.
Eric Sabin has just scored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Bit Pissed Off.....
Ok, pretty much first and foremost in my life, I'm a Metaller. Sitting here in an Iron Maiden T-shirt I cannot find any shame in that proclamation. So I have watched some of a somewhat distasteful 'Top 20 Rock Deaths', let's face it we all know who's gonna be number one, yeah? No surprises then. You have lots of 'Rock Stars' that have died before their time, and the fact is that it shouldn't really be turned into a Top 20, but they have so I'm going to comment on the top three.
3. Cliff Burton (Metallica), died when Metallica's Tour Bus crashed in Germany in 1986. A tragic death and a great loss.
2. 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott (Damageplan) - Founder member of the amazing Pantera was shot dead on stage last December during a Damageplan gig by a 'fan'. Another great loss of one of the best Guitarists in Metal.
1. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) I used to be a Nirvana fan, Kurt (and Nirvana as a whole) was a great influence to many people and could have gone on to so much more, but he figured that he didn't want that and blew his own brains out in Seattle leaving a wife and daughter to pick up the pieces.
Cobain obviously had issues with his mental stability, but to put a Suicide (at this point I'd like to tell everyone that doesn't believe this to WAKE UP) ahead of someone that was killed in an accident, and another person that was murdered is just not right. Cliff and Dimebag didn't have a choice about their premature passings - Cobain did, so even though his death was certainly a loss to the world (especially to his daughter who never had the chance to know him) to put it in the same league as the other two is frankly ludicrous.
A totally pointless rant, but one that I needed to have. I should probably expect to be flamed by Cobain's fanbase, but I don't have delusions of grandeur, no-one will ever read this (except maybe Krisse, my loyal subscriber!), but I don't mind if they do.
I'm off to bed now, Goodnight.

Nissan 300 ZX [Z32]
I downloaded the free demo of Need For Speed Most Wanted the other day, I like it, so I've pre-ordered it for Xbox. In theory I should be looking for a job, not playing silly computer games, but hey - who gives a fuck? It would be easier if the Job Centre's Job Search actualy worked with Firefox, but it doesn't!
I'm also a bit pissed off, as someone won one of my eBay items last week and is not replying to any emails. I'm not one for giving negative feedback (even when someone had £155 of my money sat in their bank account for six weeks before they finally contacted me and refunded my money I didn't leave bad feedback) and I certainly didn't want to be one of those sellers that doesn't allow people under a certain feedback level to bid, but it looks likely now and I think that's a shame.

Daimler Motor Carriage 1886
Well I loved wiatching the GP Masters meeting at Kyalami this weekend, the race has just finished, and I want more! What great car control by every one of the Drivers, and as the cars have mechanical grip - as opposed to F1's Aerodynamical grip - the cars could get really close to one another. Maybe a lesson there to the FIA - don't bother with the CDG Wing Concept, just give the cars Big Slick tyres!
I've been playing GT4 a lot again recently - even though I'm supposed to be looking for a job - so this morning I decided to set up my Jaguar Racing Wheel again, haven't used it for two years, and by God it's tricky! May take a bit of getting used to.

VW Type I
So I think the interview went well, I was totally honest about the reason why I left ASDA, blitzed a quick Maths test, and had a look around the Warehouse. Obviously the job is different to that which I had at ASDA. But it all looks do-able, and they seem like a nice bunch of people. Unfortunately the closing date is the 16th November, so they are still interviewing, we shall see.....

Renaultsport Clio V6
So yesterday I went to the Job Centre, and they are surpisingly helpful! Looked at a few jobs, and one of them is pretty much what I've been doing since I left school, so she phones them up to see when the application forms are available, after a twenty minute phone conversation (only about two of those regarding me!) I have to drive to the place to pick one up. So I got home and filled it out, posted it first class, and first thing this morning I get a phone call, Of course I'm unemployed so I'm still in bed! I phoned her back, but she's in a meeting, for about half an hour, I phone back again - unavailable until 3pm. I phone at 3.20pm - no answer, I try again at 4pm and speak to the Lady in question - HUZZAH! Anyway, I've got an interview tomorrow, and apparently I have to shave my beard off, and I can't wear Jeans - thanks Mum!!!!!

Ford Ka 1.3i
Well I went out today and bought myself Status Quo's new DVD 'The Party Ain't Over Yet - 40 Years of Status Quo' and it's shit hot! Three and a half hours long, over two discs. First disc a documentary shot during the recording of the latest album (The Party Ain't Over Yet), disc two features archive footage of the band - including my main reason for buying it the 22 minute long live version of '4500 Times' from the NEC in 1982(watching it as we speak!), just awesome - from the 70's and 80's, plus the three 'Live at the Proms' tracks with the Orchestra, and a behind-the-scenes look at their appearance on Coronation Street. Seriously, if you like Quo BUY IT! (Which probably means that no one that reads this will!!)
Signing on at the Job Centre tomorrow, but could be up to 26 weeks before they give me any money - cunts. First time I've been unemployed since leaving school 12 years ago - cunts. Add to the fact they give you loads of forms to fill out that all ask the same questions, I've filled in one - I'm not writing the same thing four fucking times, that's what photocopiers are for! If they don't like it they can keep the fucking money, we should be allowed to 'opt out' of paying so much Tax/NI if we want, then just not be eligible for unemployment benefits, it stinks.
By the way, I'm putting pics of my cars from GT4 on PS2 up on my 'blog now - the title of the entry will be the car in the pic - simple!

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
What a great film, always enjoy watching this one.
Just finished watching The Beach for the first time, it's better than I thought it would be, but then I was reading Top Gear magazine at the same time, so wasn't paying much attention!
