The Xmas Review

Me, Gemma and Christine at Krisse and Sanjie's Reception......

My first Xmas off for about 11 years and I quite enjoyed it, I got my new phone - Sanyo S750i - on the 23rd, and it's nice to be able to send picture messages again - although I've used nearly £10 credit since Xmas Eve!!!! Sold shitloads of stuff on eBay, made over £230, most of which came from the selling of my SonyEricsson W800i.

Got a Xmas card from some of the old Grocery Crew at ASDA through the post on Xmas Eve, that brought a smile to my face, thought it was a really nice thing for them to do.

Xmas day brought an huge grin to my face, finally got the first series of Futurama on DVD, a really cool magnetic Dart board and then opened the present that Santa got me - a Radio Controlled Dalek! Peggy does not like being chased around the kitchen by it!!!!!

Another thing I love about Xmas - Turkey for every meal! I love Turkey!

Take it easy, and have a Happy New Year, I shall update in 2006

MERRY XMAS!

Hi, my name is Leo, I'm unemployed pikey scum and it's been ten days since my last 'Blog entry.......

So the festive season is now upon us, and as a skint person, all I have to enjoy is my new phone, my camcorder, my Nintendo DS, SKYdigital, the internet, copious amounts of Stella Artois and whatever Santa brings me - I hope I've been a good boy this year!

You know what? Life ain't too bad, got a Xmas card off of some old work colleagues through the post today and that was a nice surprise, as was the letter I received from Abner - I really should write to him too.....

I wish anyone who reads this a glorious and prosperous 2006, I hope to see you soon x

Forty-Five Hundred Times...

...I told you, you can lean on me.

Rick Parfitt

Status Quo Rock, although not at the moment as the current UK tour has been cancelled after a growth was found on Rick Parfitt's throat, hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Last Saturday (10th) was Krisse and Sanjie's Wedding Reception, and it was a great night! Got up at 6am that morning to get the 7.09 train to Swansea, just missing the 7.30 Swansea to Paddington so caught the 8.30 instead. Got delayed just outside Bath, when a Train in front of us broke down, and then again at Reading cos the Platform wasn't ready! Got to Paddington, caught the underground to Waterloo, where I met up with two of my favourite ladies; Gemma and Christine.

We got to the reception just after five and had a great time. Got about 50mins of footage on the camcorder - most of which was Krisse's Dad!

The Ladies and I moved onto the Oceana club after the reception finished. BUGGER ME - £10 each to get in, and a bottle of Smirnoff Ice was £4.10! Anyway, did a bit of dancing, and a bit of drinking and made our way back to the Hotel, where Gemma and I chatted until 4am whilst Christine fell asleep almost as soon as she got into bed at 3am!

Sunday we left the Hotel at Noon, get some breakfast and chatted, before I decided it was time to head home. Got the 16.40 from Paddington to Swansea and the train was so full I had to stand for the first two and a half hours of the ride! That was because of a door fault on the first carriage, so they couldn't let us use it. Got into Swansea about 20.45 and got the 21.16 (which was late) back to Llanelli where Nicola picked me up.

A very tiring weekend, but totally worth it, it was great to finally meet Sanjie and to see everyone again, especially Christine as I haven't seen her for two years! It really cheered me up, it was exactly what I needed.

Mood Swings and Roundabouts

On Monday 28th November I recieved a 'phonecall from Carclo Technical Plastics Ltd, Wales offering me the position of Stores Person/Driver. I had been for two interviews for the position, and it was only mentioned at the second interview that I would be driving a 7.5tonne lorry to make deliveries, which they told me was covered on a normal Car licence. I accepted the job and was to start on Monday 5th December.

I did my own research about the licence and the (largely confusing) DVLA website suggested that I would need a C1 licence which I didn't have, so when I went to Carclo to drop off the acceptance letter they needed I brought up my concerns and was told that as I was over 21 I could drive the lorry on my car licence, but they took a photocopy of my licence to make sure and would call me if there were any problems.

No call came.

So on Monday 5th December at 0830hrs I arrived at Carclo ready for my induction, and was taken upstairs by the Personnel Manager whilst she got some paperwork. She returned and told me that they were retracting the job offer due to the fact that I didn't have a C1 driving licence.

Apparently they had contacted the DVLA and discovered if you pass your driving test before 1st January 1997 you automatically have a C1 licence, if you pass your test after that date, you don't.

I passed my test in February 1998.

They then had decided that due to my experience in Warehousing and Fork Lift Driving that they would take a chance and pay for me to get the C1 licence that was needed, the company they use for this doesn't have their own Lorry so I would learn in Carclo's Lorry. This is why they hadn't called, up until Friday 2nd December there wasn't any problems.

Unfortunately, on Friday 2nd December one of the Driver's had an accident on the M4 near Bridgend, no-one was hurt - only the Lorry I needed to get my licence.

So it came to be that yet again I am a victim of circumstance, and the decision was taken to retract the job offer.

I'm quite depressed.

Chevrolet SSR

Guess what popped through my letterbox this morning.... NINTENDOGS!

Great fun, I have two dogs, a Boxer called Dixie and a Shetland Sheepdog named Nigel. They're both fast asleep at the moment, but I've spent a lot of time today teaching them tricks and taking them for walks - you even have to clean up their shit after them!

We also have a new arrival in the real world too, A beautiful little Pug cross called Peggy. When I get a decent pic I'll share it with you.

I start my new job on Monday, and yes Krisse, part of it is driving a 7.5tonne wagon - I'm actually looking forward to it!

Lotus Elise

I got a Nintendo DS and copy of Mario Kart through the post today and I love it! I've spent most of the day playing it, gonna get me some cheap games for it now.........

Jake R.I.P.

Jake is no longer with us, he's gone to the big Dog Kennel in the sky and it's bloody horrible not having him around. Rather romantically it snowed on his last day with us, so he got to enjoy himself in the snow again for a while.

I've finally got rid of the crap that I had on the site, it's the same old same old - I never update, so there's no point in it being here. Still got all the Recommended stuff though.

Well, I haven't heard about that job, so tomorrow I start looking properly, even if it means a stupid Xmas temp job in a shop I suppose.

Jaguar 'E' Type

Well I've just blown all of my savings on a Camcorder as we are taking Jake to the beach for one last time. Maybe a bit morbid, but fuck it.

Need For Speed Most Wanted is out tomorrow, but Game managed to get it to me this morning, very impressed with their service. If only I wasn't unemployed they would be sending out an Xbox 360 to me soon. Nevermind, there's more important things in life.

Wednesday, November 23, 2005

Lotus Carlton

First job today was to take Jake to the Vets, he's not been well recently and has lost a lot of weight this last month. I'm taking him to the Vet again on Friday evening, and this time he won't be coming home.

Went to see the new Harry Potter film today, not bad, not great.

Saw The Fifth Element for the first time the other day, awesome film.

Eric Sabin has just scored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Bit Pissed Off.....

Ok, pretty much first and foremost in my life, I'm a Metaller. Sitting here in an Iron Maiden T-shirt I cannot find any shame in that proclamation. So I have watched some of a somewhat distasteful 'Top 20 Rock Deaths', let's face it we all know who's gonna be number one, yeah? No surprises then. You have lots of 'Rock Stars' that have died before their time, and the fact is that it shouldn't really be turned into a Top 20, but they have so I'm going to comment on the top three.

3. Cliff Burton (Metallica), died when Metallica's Tour Bus crashed in Germany in 1986. A tragic death and a great loss.

2. 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott (Damageplan) - Founder member of the amazing Pantera was shot dead on stage last December during a Damageplan gig by a 'fan'. Another great loss of one of the best Guitarists in Metal.

1. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) I used to be a Nirvana fan, Kurt (and Nirvana as a whole) was a great influence to many people and could have gone on to so much more, but he figured that he didn't want that and blew his own brains out in Seattle leaving a wife and daughter to pick up the pieces.

Cobain obviously had issues with his mental stability, but to put a Suicide (at this point I'd like to tell everyone that doesn't believe this to WAKE UP) ahead of someone that was killed in an accident, and another person that was murdered is just not right. Cliff and Dimebag didn't have a choice about their premature passings - Cobain did, so even though his death was certainly a loss to the world (especially to his daughter who never had the chance to know him) to put it in the same league as the other two is frankly ludicrous.

A totally pointless rant, but one that I needed to have. I should probably expect to be flamed by Cobain's fanbase, but I don't have delusions of grandeur, no-one will ever read this (except maybe Krisse, my loyal subscriber!), but I don't mind if they do.

I'm off to bed now, Goodnight.

Nissan 300 ZX [Z32]

I downloaded the free demo of Need For Speed Most Wanted the other day, I like it, so I've pre-ordered it for Xbox. In theory I should be looking for a job, not playing silly computer games, but hey - who gives a fuck? It would be easier if the Job Centre's Job Search actualy worked with Firefox, but it doesn't!

I'm also a bit pissed off, as someone won one of my eBay items last week and is not replying to any emails. I'm not one for giving negative feedback (even when someone had £155 of my money sat in their bank account for six weeks before they finally contacted me and refunded my money I didn't leave bad feedback) and I certainly didn't want to be one of those sellers that doesn't allow people under a certain feedback level to bid, but it looks likely now and I think that's a shame.

Daimler Motor Carriage 1886

Well I loved wiatching the GP Masters meeting at Kyalami this weekend, the race has just finished, and I want more! What great car control by every one of the Drivers, and as the cars have mechanical grip - as opposed to F1's Aerodynamical grip - the cars could get really close to one another. Maybe a lesson there to the FIA - don't bother with the CDG Wing Concept, just give the cars Big Slick tyres!

I've been playing GT4 a lot again recently - even though I'm supposed to be looking for a job - so this morning I decided to set up my Jaguar Racing Wheel again, haven't used it for two years, and by God it's tricky! May take a bit of getting used to.

VW Type I

So I think the interview went well, I was totally honest about the reason why I left ASDA, blitzed a quick Maths test, and had a look around the Warehouse. Obviously the job is different to that which I had at ASDA. But it all looks do-able, and they seem like a nice bunch of people. Unfortunately the closing date is the 16th November, so they are still interviewing, we shall see.....

Renaultsport Clio V6

So yesterday I went to the Job Centre, and they are surpisingly helpful! Looked at a few jobs, and one of them is pretty much what I've been doing since I left school, so she phones them up to see when the application forms are available, after a twenty minute phone conversation (only about two of those regarding me!) I have to drive to the place to pick one up. So I got home and filled it out, posted it first class, and first thing this morning I get a phone call, Of course I'm unemployed so I'm still in bed! I phoned her back, but she's in a meeting, for about half an hour, I phone back again - unavailable until 3pm. I phone at 3.20pm - no answer, I try again at 4pm and speak to the Lady in question - HUZZAH! Anyway, I've got an interview tomorrow, and apparently I have to shave my beard off, and I can't wear Jeans - thanks Mum!!!!!

Ford Ka 1.3i

Well I went out today and bought myself Status Quo's new DVD 'The Party Ain't Over Yet - 40 Years of Status Quo' and it's shit hot! Three and a half hours long, over two discs. First disc a documentary shot during the recording of the latest album (The Party Ain't Over Yet), disc two features archive footage of the band - including my main reason for buying it the 22 minute long live version of '4500 Times' from the NEC in 1982(watching it as we speak!), just awesome - from the 70's and 80's, plus the three 'Live at the Proms' tracks with the Orchestra, and a behind-the-scenes look at their appearance on Coronation Street. Seriously, if you like Quo BUY IT! (Which probably means that no one that reads this will!!)

Signing on at the Job Centre tomorrow, but could be up to 26 weeks before they give me any money - cunts. First time I've been unemployed since leaving school 12 years ago - cunts. Add to the fact they give you loads of forms to fill out that all ask the same questions, I've filled in one - I'm not writing the same thing four fucking times, that's what photocopiers are for! If they don't like it they can keep the fucking money, we should be allowed to 'opt out' of paying so much Tax/NI if we want, then just not be eligible for unemployment benefits, it stinks.

By the way, I'm putting pics of my cars from GT4 on PS2 up on my 'blog now - the title of the entry will be the car in the pic - simple!

Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

What a great film, always enjoy watching this one.

Just finished watching The Beach for the first time, it's better than I thought it would be, but then I was reading Top Gear magazine at the same time, so wasn't paying much attention!

Wednesday, November 02, 2005

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of The Sith

Just finished watching it (and some of the special features), first time since the day of release in the cinema, Fucking love this film.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones

Was watched last night, and in 15 minutes, I shall be sitting down to Revenge of the Sith.

Made quite a few South Park people over the last couple of days, I love it!

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Was the film I watched last night, Attack of the Clones tonight - all as part of Star Wars week, where I watch all six Episodes!

That's me above, living by the Sea, with a pint of Stella in my hand. Sounds great, and I seem to be enjoying it up there.

FUCK!

I need to renew my car tax tomorrow, and guess what? I can't find my Insurance Certificate! Not happy!

As I finished typing that, I looked up and there it was right under my nose! I'm a lot happier now, the last thing I need is another fine for having no tax (it happened last time!)

WOO HOO!

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story

AKA The Family Guy Movie, really funny, more graphic than the TV series! Bought it today from Tesco, along with 20 cans of Stella Artois.

For those that don't know, I have resigned from ASDA, although they have given me a few days to reconsider - don't think so!

Because I am now unemployed, I have had to cancel my Xbox360 - not happy.

Had a great week in Oxford, even though the Football was pure shite. Went out and got drunk quite a few times, which was nice.

Monday, October 17, 2005

Oxford Here I Come!

Driving to Oxford in the morning to have a few beers and share a few memories with the Lads and Ladies that I left behind all those years ago (although I was only there in July!). Looking forward to the Boston game on Saturday, I'm ashamed to say it's my first match of the season - so we'd better win it!!

Will I have a job on my return from Oxford? Who gives a fuck?!

Friday, October 14, 2005

Fords

Nicola let me drive her car today - I was quite shocked actually! It's only a 1.6 Zetec powered Escort, but for some reason I was expecting a bit more poke from it, it was quite sluggish, bear in mind I'm comparing this to my 1.3 Ka which only has an 8valve engine that can trace it's roots back to the Ford Anglia! I guess it must be the different weights of the cars in question relative to the BHP but even so! It's a nice car though, quite liked it - but it's a Ford.

Got me a new 'Phone

Didn't bother with the PocketPC thing, not really much point. I got a Sony Ericsson W800i and loving it at the moment! Comes with a 512mb memory card, so I got a couple of albums (Trivium, Wildhearts), and a few vids (full episode of Family Guy and some 'Adult' stuff) on there at the moment!

Will probably treat myself to a SatNav system of some sort next, although we need a couple of new TV's, and I still need a car!

Decided not to go to the Oxford Vs Carlisle game tonight, but will definitely be at the Boston game on the 22nd......

Saturday, October 01, 2005

Saturday Night...

Saturday is one of those words, I've just realised, that contains another word that you shouldn't say - a bit like Scunthorpe........

One get rich quick (or at least quicker) scheme for me to try is STOP SPENDING YOUR BLOODY MONEY! But it ain't gonna happen!

Off to bed - got work at 0530 :-(

Friday, September 30, 2005

Firefox is starting to piss me off!

For some reason I could not top up my mobile - or indeed do much at all - on the Orange Website, but as soon as I switched to IE I managed it first time!

After 15 years of being a big Quo fan, I finally joined the fanclub today - oh I feel like a teenage girl!

Need a new phone, I want one that's also a fully functioning PocketPC, but have you seen the prices?!

Someone find me a 'Get-Rich-Quick' scheme that works - preferably without ripping people off!

Monday, September 19, 2005

Do you know what?

There are some beautiful 300ZX's about at the moment, and some of them are UK cars - the MX-5 has yet again gone out of the window, but that's no surprise! I keep flitting between the two, but I know I'll be gutted if I don't get a 300ZX.

Now to find the money.........

Thursday, September 15, 2005

Woo Hoo!

Just got an email from Game, saying that the release date for Xbox360 has been put back to December 2nd, but I need not worry as my order is still live and will be despatched prior to its release - I'm so excited!!!!!!

There's a really nice MX-5 on the MX-5 Owner's club website, it's limited edition UK car with full service history and very low milage, asking price £3995 - if only I had the money! I'm beginning to come around to the MX-5 more due to running costs, still RWD and fun, but not as expensive to run as a big three litre monster. We'll see...

Monday, September 12, 2005

Lord Leo?!

So I found out today that the Lordship of Wheatley is up for grabs at a bargain price of £3000 - and someone has reserved it!

Been considering being Ordained as a Minister for Universal Ministries, but I feel that requires a lot more thinking over! Although I have had an Honourary Degree from them!

Saturday, September 10, 2005

Why, Hello!

So following the disappointment of the movie version of 'The Hitchhiker's Guide...' I've started to read the books again! I started yesterday and am already halfway through 'The Restaurant at the End of the Universe', all of that for someone that never reads! I do like the film, it's just not how I imagined it I suppose.

I need to decide what kind of car I want before I have enough money to buy one! I want a really quick Coupe one minute (300ZX), then a nice, powerful four door saloon the next (Omega, Jag), and I keep being drawn to the MX5 too!

The driver's are apparently saying that if the rain at Spa persists, they won't race on Sunday due to safety concerns. For fuck's sake, get a spine! Ever since they introduced the Safety Car all those years ago, they've turned into a bunch of Pussies! Can you imagine Senna, Prost or Mansell saying 'It's a bit wet, can we stay inside instead of racing?' Fuckers.

Anyway, I'm off to have a shower before work, TTFN

Highs and Lows

Don't worry, it's not another introspective look at how shit life is!

Highs - Status Quo's new album 'The Party Ain't Over Yet', managed to 'obtain' a copy of it last night, and apart from two tracks it's a real return to form, carrying on where Heavy Traffic left off - a proper little rocker. Before anyone moans about me stealing from the industry, I think I should make it clear that I have the album on preorder from Amazon, so all I have done is got a Back up copy (all be it ten days before the albums release!)

Lows - 'The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy' Finally saw the film last night, WHAT THE FUCK?! I now know how Nicola feels when she watches the Harry Potter films - back to reading the books I think.

I told you a few days ago to "Watch this space", well I went and had a look at the Calibra, it is a very nice and tidy car - very good condition for a car that's done 115000 miles. But it just confirmed to me that I don't want another one! Back to the hunt - You can get a 1995 Jaguar XJ6 3.2 straight six for £3500 these days.........

Almost Time To Go To Bed

Ok, so blasting around the Nurburgring in a selection of fast cars (and a Toyota Prius!) probably wasn't the best thing to do before driving into Swansea to pick Nic up last night - poor little Ka got ragged to fuck! I haven't driven a car that hard for a long time, put it this way, I used quarter of a tank of petrol just going to Swansea and back! Great fun. Also, going over a hump at nearly twice the speed limit caused the Suspension on the front some grief, it was creaking like a bitch when we got home. Seemed ok this morning, though where I was pushing on the Ka to hear the noise is now a nice little dent - pushed a bit too hard methinks!

Need a good looking, fast car!

Take a look at the pic above, that's what I get up to on my tea breaks!

Monday, September 05, 2005

Bananas

So here I am, I was being bored but I think after I write this I'll play a little GT4!

Nic's out with her work friends tonight, so I'm awaiting the call to pick her up from Swansea - would be better if I could turn up in a nice shiny car rather than a small rusty little shitbox but there you go!

Sunday, September 04, 2005

Go Go GO!

Here I am sat in my room with a pint of Stella watching the Italian GP, and I can smell dinner cooking!

1-0 to England against Wales - Math now owes me £20!

Remember my old Calibra? I've seen another one today. Yeah, I know I said Japanese and Rear Wheel Drive but watch this space...........

Just thank whatever it is you believe in that Katrina didn't take your's

Xbox360

Ok, so you all know I have an Xbox360 on preorder, but I'm considering getting another one, not the full package just the cheaper Core System for my bedroom. That way if anyone wants to watch anything downstairs I can just play upstairs, and if no-one is watching TV/DVD downstairs I can play through the widescreen TV and 5.1 surround - the best of both worlds, without the hassle I have at the moment dragging my Xbox up and downstairs all the time!

PS. click the link on my homepage for all your gaming needs (they give me money if you do!)

Ok, how about this one?

If it can be made a little brighter, this is the Eddie that will appear on my leg soon....

Currently watching Transformers - The Movie as I needed to see it after I heard it's been released on the new UMD format for Sony's PSP, also on this format is Iron Maiden's Rock In Rio, you see, everything comes back to Iron Maiden!

Help required.....

Ok, so I've decided that my next Tattoo will feature the mascot of Iron Maiden, Eddie. But in which incarnation? I've always loved him as The Trooper (as last post), but I'm not sure about it, how about Live after Death, where he's bursting out from his Grave, but then there's No Prayer for The Dying where he's bursting out from a Tomb. Fear of the Dark (live) playing the Bass Guitar with his foot on the moniter at the front of stage?!

Please do some research and tell Leo in which direction to travel here! BTW it will be on the lower half of my right leg, so take that into consideration!

Death On The Road

Is the new live album from Iron Maiden, and it's awesome - buy it! Personally, I'm looking forward to the DVD release of it!

What the fuck is in a slippery nipple?!

There's a big hole outside the front of the house, where Alesha used to live. I want to fill the void - give me money!!

So a good night was had on Sunday, we went out for Leanne's Birthday and a few of us got a bit drunk! I started in Wetherspoons with Andrew, where Math, Karen, Rob, Helen and Ian joined us before we moved on to The Met where we were joined by Leanne, Tracy, Simon and a few others. I was gutted as no-one had the Silver Aftershock, so I had to be content with the Black variety. We then moved onto La Caprice, where I had my first proper Tequila Slammer, which was great, and I will be having again! One drink I definitely won't be having again is a Slippery Nipple - I really had to fight the urge to vomit - especially as it would have gone all over Leanne! Everyone started to go their seperate ways then, and a few of us found ourselves back at Tracy's where we watched a video, and then I fell asleep on the - very comfortable - sofa. Got confused when phoning for the taxi in the morning, as I suddenly realised I had no idea where Tracy lived! Sorted that out, Taxi cost £15, and finally got home about 95 minutes before I started work!

Anyway, I'm off to bed as soon as 'Paschendale' off the new Iron Maiden live album finishes, so I'll bid you farewell.

PS. Wales and England are playing each other on Saturday, can't wait!

Skint

I'm not going to have any money in November - I've just pre-ordered an XBOX360 and a copy of Project Gotham Racing 3!

A total expenditure of £330

Damn the Internet, it makes spending money so easy!

Getting ready for work

I'm feeling ok, still got the headache I've had for nearly a week, but I'm slightly more awake than I have been recently, maybe I'm on to something with this getting up earlier lark.

Good Morning

I got up at 8:30am, which is acceptable seeing as I fucked about on t'internet til 12:30 last night. Still fucked though, think I might try less sleep tonight - in fact I've just remembered that I have no choice as I'm working at 7am tomorrow!

Tuesday, August 16, 2005

Hello Mother Fuckers

I've had some Stella, and some leftover Chinese food, and I'm bloody knackered.

I'm going to bed, but I'm getting up at 8am, ok? I'm just so tired at the moment, and I think I'm sleeping way too much.

Goodnight Mother Fuckers, I love you all

Thanks for your help...

... Fuckers!

Only got £45 left, spent the rest on food and acohol last night! A lovely Chinese takeaway (For me and Mum) - that I still haven't finished eating - and a crate of Stella, a Pizza for Nic and Chicken and Chips for Dad! Oh and got some proper shopping from Asda too!

Sunday, August 14, 2005

She's Gone :-(

Alesha has moved up north, totally gutted but it's for the best.

Dunno what to do with the cash though, I should save it for my 300ZX (I've decided yet again that I need one!), but then, I want a bass guitar, but then I've got enough money for a decent Video Camera, but then I want a new phone, but then I want a PDA/Pocket PC - HELP!

God-Fucking-Damn

2-2 final score.

Didn't expect that one.

Now sixth in League2.

Could have been second.

Arse.

40 Minutes til kick off...

...And I'm sat here typing away, when I should be at the KasStad soaking up the atmosphere(?!) and the rain - is it raining in Oxford today?! Hopefully should have some money coming my way later, depends on Football results Oxford and Swansea being the ones to look out for - not telling you what I've bet on though, as it won't come off and I'll still be skint!!!!!

I Feel Like Steve

Another Electric Love Hogs track!!!!

Should be in bed as I start work @ 7am, but decided to fuck about online first. Realised that I became veryinfrequent with this blog during July, I'm guessing that was because of the amount of hours I worked and being down in Oxford, but who knows? Perhaps it's just that I'm not being so introspective at the moment, decided that I don't need a woman to be happy, in fact they seem to cause me grief, so I'm staying away from them - except my friends of course!

Started saving for - hopefully - a new car. Hoping to have enough by Xmas but it's a tall order seeing as I only have £150 so far!!

Off to bed, take it easy.

Tribal Monkey

I'm currently rediscovering the Electric Love Hogs, how I wish they'd have released more than one album!

I will not be going to the Oxford V Wycombe game after all as the Guy that has bought Alesha on eBay is meant to be coming to pick her up on that day. I'm gonna put the money towards a Bass Guitar - I need it, I really do!

Football Fever!

Just placed a couple of bets for tomorrow's game - £280 in my back pocket if they come off!

I can afford to go to the match next weekend!

I've just applied for my first ever Passport!

So...

I've had three responses to yesterdays question, one Email, one on MySpace and one comment on here. Bev (via email) says "Go for it!!!!!", Ali (comment on here) says that I should fake an illness on the Saturday, leave even earlier then phone in sick for the Sunday and Sara (MySpace) just said do it properly and book the weekend off! Bev wins, depending on how much money I get paid!!!

I have - once again - given up on the idea of a 300ZX, all he good ones appear to be imports, and I'm not paying that much to insure a car that I'll rarely use, and is apparently quite unreliable! So the hunt is on for a Mazda MX-5. A bit girly in appearance, but for the 1.8 it's only £100 more to insure than my little Ford and it should be a hoot to drive. I shall soon be looking for one to test drive to see if it's for me or not.

Alesha's auction ends in less than two hours.

Should Leo.........

.......Finish work at Noon on Saturday 13th August, drive like a bat out of hell to Oxford, watch the match against Wycombe Wanderers, possibly meet up for a glass of Coke with a few people, then drive back to Wales so he can get to work on Sunday morning?!

It's very tempting.

I might miss the first few minutes of the match.

It'll cost approx. £80

WHAT DO I DO?!

Orlaith has left the Building

Sorry, Big Brother reference there, maybe should put it on the BB Blog, but I can't be arsed with it anymore!

Alesha is back on eBay - this time with no reserve!

I should be getting ready for work, but you know my feelings on that one!

I now have no credit on my mobile, so don't expect any text messages - but seeing as I don't get any anymore I don't care! [no-one emails me anymore either!]

One Man Band....

Is a BRILLIANT song! Plus it's one of the few songs I can still sing. It's on Status Quo's Rock 'til You Drop album - Track 4.

Should be getting ready for work, but fuck it, it's only work!

Alesha didn't sell, perhaps I'm setting the price too high, but I'm not letting her go for peanuts!

Leo is finally gonna give in and get a Passport! Watch out all you foreign places!!!!

Update...

Well, Alesha is up on eBay, there's been a bit of interest so hopefully we shall have a successful sale!

It's nearly two weeks since I got burnt at Silverstone and yet I'm still peeling like a bitch!

Just downloaded some software to unlock phones, so if anyone wants their Nokia unlocked to any network, give me a shout cos I need to try it out!

Off to work now TTFN

Saturday, July 16, 2005

I can't think of a fucking title - make one up!

Well I left my DVDR set up to tape the GP2 coverage from Silverstone whilst I was at work today, got home, watched it - bloody marvellous! It's as easy to use as a VCR, but the quality is MUCH better, and you can add your own chapters, and erase either the whole disc, or just individual recordings. It should now be finishing off taping the DTM Qualifying, then it should record the DTM race tomorrow afternoon, the Sky box is on Autoview for both so I'm hoping to have some good action to watch when I finish work tomorrow!

Suppose I should go to bed, but I don't want to!

Take it easy.

Friday, July 15, 2005

Oh Yeah!

Bugger me it's hot! I bought myself a DVD Recorder yesterday, just gotta find something to record now! Works a treat, tried it out on Pimp My Ride earlier, putting my own Chapter marks in etc. etc. It's cool!

Thinking about an update to the site. Normally change the look over the summer, but I don't know about this year - what colour scheme can I go to?! Will definitely be putting up some of the pics I took at the GP in the 'Cars' section, and am trying to figure out how to link up my webcam to the site so you can all see what teamBBS HQ looks like!

Bastard Sun Fucking Burn!

Hello! Spent the weekend going back and forth between Oxford and Silverstone for the Fosters Grand Prix of Great Bitain, and what a weekend! It was my first time at a GP, and I definitely want to go again next year - even thinking about getting a Passport and going to one in Europe! The noise is amazing, as is the speed the first time you see one go past. The Porsche Supercup was boring, the Maserati Challenge Cup slightly less so, but the Historic Sports Cars were really cool. Only downside to the weekend is the pain I am currently in! After spening two full days in the glorious Silverstone Sun with no sunblock, my face is peeling, and my left arm is basically now an huge red blister - but it was so worth it! So much happened that I can't be arsed to write about it on here! Thanks to Krisse for organising it, and to his Family for putting me up for the weekend.

Of course got to see a few other people too, namely Kate (and mum and Bracken), Nat and Gemma (and Sue and Bob), it was great seeing you guys, and just to warn you all that I am planning to take a couple of weeks off in September/October so I hope to see you all then.

Madness

Hi

Just been looking at Nissan 300ZX's on the net and found a nice SWB non
turbo for £4000. Thought I'd get an insurance quote. £1600 fully comp.
When you consider I can get a LWB twin turbo insured fully comp. for
£750 this is mental!

SWB Non turbo - approx 70bhp less than twin turbo. Why is it twice as
expensive to insure? One reason alone - it's an import.

MADNESS!

Oh, What A Night!

Well, no drunken ramblings to be deleted this time - that's because I woke up Friday morning on the Kitchen floor with my arm around a bucket of vomit! I've always made it to bed before, so that was quite surprising. I've been hearing quite a few stories about Thursday night, and although I can't remember much, I know that what I have been told is true! I did eleven Aftershocks - sadly not beating Nikki's record of 18, but he didn't have the different colours mixed together like me - and countless pints and had a really good time. Math decided to text a girl we know to see if she "wanted to do Leo up the shitbox with a dildo" He assures me the answer was "if he gets me drunk enough" - Erm, no offence, but I think I'll give that a miss! Came third in the quiz at the Met Bar, Mainly thanks to Andrew! I remember meeting Nicky just before I went home, with her having the dubious honour of talking to me whilst I sat on the corner of Station Road and Murray Street puking my guts up! Then Jake wouldn't let me into Nic's car, and after I got home managed to offend my Mother with my foul mouth, and kept everyone awake by singing Football chants whilst lying on the Kitchen floor, where I stayed until I woke up in the morning!

Great Days!

Blah Blah Blah!

In about twenty minutes, it will be the twenty-eighth Anniversary of my Birth. I shall be VERY pissed this time tomorrow.

Currently Playing - Pantera 'A Vulgar Display of Power'

BMW today announced that it is to buy a controlling Share of the Sauber Formula One Team on 1st January 2006, quite where this leaves WilliamsF1 we don't know, apparently BMW will be happy to continue it's supply of Engines, but will Williams want them? Rumours are that the new Cosworth engine is much more powerful!

See you tomorrow for another entry that will probably get deleted!

Monday, June 20, 2005

Hi! MkII

Hello, an interesting weekend to be sure - so much so, that I found it necessary to delete an entry to this 'Blog that I made at approx 1.15am Sunday morning, as I was pissed off my head and made some comments that I do not want to be seen! However, I have made these comments elsewhere, in a place I cannot delete them!

Saturday night is a bit fuzzy, to say the least! Had a flashback at work today, I definitely flashed my bollocks a few times - anyone I know in Oxford will know this is nothing new! But there are a couple of things I'm not too sure about, nevermind - one last blow out in the Met this Thursday, and I'm considering giving up alcohol for good as it just causes me problems!

Found out that some people seem to appreciate me though, which surprised me! I had quite an Ego trip on Saturday when several people told me that I'm lovely, and when I relayed my surprise to a couple of others today and yesterday, they said "Well you are!" - I'm in a much better place right now :-)

Pre-ordered the new Oxford Home shirt, and I have joined OxVox, I expect a lot from the coming season, especially having to pay out £21 to a Swansea fan on Saturday after Oxford finished last season 21 points behind Swansea - I don't wanna have to do that again, and we re-instated the "pound a point" bet for next season!

St. Anger

For the first time ever. I am listening to Metallica's ST Anger album through earphones (as I don't want to wake up the entire neighbourhood - but need it loud!) and I'm picking up on little things that I never noticed were there before, just a few sounds in the background when the music goes quiet, weird, but cool.

Paranoia

I've come over all funny today, and it's made me question myself in many ways. Now, I suppose you could say that looking at my other recent entries, that I've been doing that for a while now. But I've come to the conclusion that one thing is very clear to me - I'm nearly 28(exactly a week away, to be exact)it's time to grow up.

Time to stop driving like a dick
Time to stop acting the fool
Time to take responsibility for Who I Am
Time to figure out where my life is going
Time to find someone?

Wish me luck, and if you see a few changes soon, please support me in them - I'm gonna need all the help I can get!

Hello!

Listening to the new Foo Fighters album - get it, it's fucking awesome, even if the riff from 'In Your Honour' is ripped off from Radiohead's 'Sulk'!

Krisse asked in what ways do I feel under-estaimated as a person. It's just that most people seem to think that they know who I am, and that is a bloke who is good for a laugh, but a bit of a perv and not trustworthy. Which is fundamentally wrong! I feel that I know how to have a good time, even if I do get a little loud after a few beers! Yeah, I do make a lot of sexual Innuendoes, but that's been a part of me since I was 14, I know when to make them and when not to! I have no idea what I have done to be declared not trustworthy, I have always considered myself to be an honourable chap, and it just bugs me when people judge me when they haven't given me the courtesy of getting under the skin of Skippy/Leo to find Lee Richard Compton.

The Way I Feel...

This came out of me during an Email conversation with Nat, and actually sums up my feelings at the moment:

I'm not happy that people don't appreciate me in the way that I do! Not many people know the real me (even down in Oxford) and I feel that I'm totally under-estimated as a person.

Sounds rather arrogant I know, but it is true. Help me out people, I really am a decent bloke!

Time for Bed?

Well it's not even 2300 and I'm going to bed. How sad is that?

I think the 'Confidence and Positvity' thing worked a bit too well
today as I've been very arrogant, and downright rude to some people -
especially when there were women about!

Twat

Had a few Stella's last night as I wasn't feeling very happy - again, something I'm not going to go into. Woke up this morning @ 7am convinced it was Sunday and I was late for work, so I jump out of bed, get dressed then have the sudden realisation that it is in fact Saturday! Swore at myself before going back to bed!

Tiredness

I'm really fucking tired. I did 198 hours at work in the last four
weeks, and this pay period I'm trying to get more - payslip was nice
reading today though!

Craig and some of his friends are now at the Download Festival @
Donington - gits! Excellent line up this year.

I'm still happy by the way, for another reason now - that I'm not going
into!!!

I'm Back Baby!

Amazing isn't it? One hug from a pretty girl, and Leo has been well
happy! Even had a proper shave today, and I only ever do that when I'm
really happy!

Been singing Vai's 'In My Dreams With You' all day, brilliant song -
with some excellent vocals from Devin Townsend - that just seems to fit
with life well at the moment, as I keep dreaming of someone........

Strange Day....

Started off well, really good mood. Descended from there really, slowly
getting lower until I suddenly realised I needed a hug! After many
rejections, Craig sorted me out by getting Vicky to do the honours and I
was a very happy boy again.

Work was really shit today, think that had a lot to do with my not being
happy, but there's still something missing. Could it be my dream car?
Could it be my dream girl? Could it just be one of my 'Spells'? Could it
be all of the above?

I'm 28 in a few weeks. Not Good.
--

What Mood?

Today, I don't know, I'm really quite happy, but really quite down.
Confused? I am! I know that I'm kind of enjoying life at the moment, but
I feel like there is something missing - and what is it? I'm not sure I
know, I think I might, but if it is that, there's nothing I can
currently do about it, so why is it bothering me? There's just that
hollow feeling inside, as if my chest is completely empty, weird. I
guess I'm happy, but with an underlying sadness. That's sorted that
then! Ah, if only it were that simple. I'm off to the land of dreams, to
see if someone is gonna pay me a visit again tonight..............

Whatever...

What a night last night! Fell asleep whilst watching a tape of the
European GP and woke up for the last lap - just in time to see Kimi go
flying! Woke up again at 0535 to find a huge spider on the wall next to
my bed staring at me, so I threw it out the window! Also, I spent the
whole night dreaming about the same person - she was even driving my
Fork Lift at one point!

Spent much of today fucking about being bored - see earlier post! Then
put my In-Dash MP3 player into my Sister's car as I've blown the
speakers in mine so can't use it, and I certainly can't afford new
speakers! Also finally put what I used to call 'The Rogue's Gallery'
onto the site, with a couple of new additions - thankfully not mine this
time (touch wood!).

Anyway, gotta have a shower before work tomorrow, might even shave but -
I doubt it!

Bank Holidays

I'm bored! I even transferred 310 photo's over to my PC from my
Mother's, and I'm still bored! On that score, expect some of the Pics to
make it to the Site...

As I like a few of Faithless' Tracks I downloaded the new "Best of..."
today, it's quite good, recommended!

Hope my Fucking dinner's ready soon, I'm getting hungry! (Spoilt Brat
Alert!)

12 Points to Ponder

12. Life is sexually transmitted.

11. Good Health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

10. Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without an
erection, make him a sandwich.

9. Give a person a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a person to
use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

8. Some people are like Slinkies .... not really good for anything, but
you can't help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

7. Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals
dying of nothing.

6. Whenever I'm feeling blue, I start breathing again.

substantial tax cut saves you thirty cents.

3. In the 60's people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world
is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

1. And, most "terrorists" are reported to have come to the US legally,
but they then hang around on expired visas, some for as long as 10 to 15
years. Now, at Blockbuster Video if you are 2 days late with a video,
those people are all over you. So, why isn't Blockbuster in charge of
immigration?

Monaco GP

Finally finished watching the race, started watching it on my lunch break at 1300 at work, and watched the rest in stages over the course of
the evening. A good race it was, too. Loads of action and a double
Podium finish for BMW Williams. Can't understand why Schumacher wasn't
penalised for blatently crossing the Pit Exit line on lap 59 - perhaps it's
something to do with the type of car he's driving.......

I'm about to leave to see the 1330 showing of Star Wars Episode III, it
better be fucking good.......

Fucking Cars.....

I am so pissed off right now, my Ka is in for it's MOT, I already knew
that it was going to cost around £300 as it needed a new Steering Rack,
however the Garage has just phoned and asked if anyone has done any work
on the steering previously as the 'Union' is missing and someone has
used PVA Tape, his exact words "Someone has had a play with it at
least". The Ka has NEVER had any work done on it's steering, which can
lead me to only one conclusion, which I can't tell you as I can't prove
it and don't want to get Sued! Oh, and the upshot of this is an extra
£128 + VAT. Approx £450 for an MOT on a car I don't even like! Cunts.

Freudian Slip

Two men are talking in the bar sharing their sob stories.
One man says, "I had the worst Freudian Slip the other
day."

The other man responds, "What is a Freudian Slip?"

"You know, it's when you mean to say one thing, but
you say something else that reveals what you are really
thinking about. Like the other day I was at the airport
and this really beautiful lady was helping me. Instead
of asking her for 'two tickets to Pittsburgh', I asked
her for 'to Pickets to Tittsburgh."

The second replies, "Oh, now I know what you are talking
about. It's like the other day when I was having breakfast
with my wife. I wanted her to pass me the Orange Juice,
and instead I said, "YOU RUINED MY LIFE BITCH!"

Irish Brothers

An Irishman walks into a bar in Dublin, orders three
pints of Guinness and sits in the back of the room,
drinking a sip out of each one in turn. When he finishes
them, he comes back to the bar and orders three more.

The bartender asks him, "You know, a pint goes flat
after I draw it; it would taste better if you bought
one at a time."

The Irishman replies, "Well, you see, I have two brothers.
One is in America, the other in Australia, and I'm here
in Dublin. When we all left home, we promised that
we'd drink this way to remember the days when we drank
together."

The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and
leaves it there.

The Irishman becomes a regular in the bar, and always
drinks the same way: he orders three pints and drinks
them in turn.

One day, he comes in and orders two pints. All the other
regulars notice and fall silent.

When he comes back to the bar for the second round,
the bartender says, "I don't want to intrude on your
grief, but I wanted to offer my condolences on your
great loss."

The Irishman looks confused for a moment, then a light
dawns in his eye and he laughs. "Oh, no." he says, "Everyone's
fine. I've just quit drinking."

Farewell Wanny, Brown and Cox

Although that is slightly misleading, as Cox hasn't left, but has been
told that if he can find a new Club, he's free to go. Wanless and Brown,
are not having their contracts renewed, Danny Brown not having had the
best of times at Utd, being injured for much of it. I'm a bit sorry to
see Paul Wanless leave, always liked him as a player, but needs must,
and I'm sure Brian Talbot knows what he's up to! Good Luck lads.

For Those Born Before 1986

According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 60's, 70's and early 80's probably shouldn't have survived, because our baby cots were covered with brightly coloured lead-based paint which was promptly chewed and licked. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, or latches on doors or cabinets and it was fine to play with pans. When we rode our bikes, we wore no helmets, just flip-flops and Fluorescent 'spokey dokey's' on our wheels. As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or airbags - riding in the passenger seat was a treat. We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle and it tasted the same. We ate chips, bread and butter pudding and drank fizzy juice with sugar in it, but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing. We shared one drink with four friends, from one bottle or can and no-one actually died from this.

We would spend hours building go-carts out of scraps and then went top speed down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into stinging nettles a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We would leave home in the morning and could play all day, as long as we were back before it got dark. No one was able to reach us and no one minded

We did not have Play stations or X-Boxes, no video games at all.

No 99 channels on TV, no videotape movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no DVDs, no Internet chat rooms.

We had friends - we went outside and found them.

We played elastics and rounders, and sometimes that ball really hurt!

We fell out of trees, got cut, and broke bones but there were no law suits.

We had full on fist fights but no prosecution followed from other parents.

We played knock a door run and were actually afraid of the owners catching us.

We walked to friends' homes.

We also, believe it or not, WALKED to school; we didn't rely on mummy or daddy to drive us to school, which was just round the corner.

We made up games with sticks and tennis balls.

We rode bikes in packs of 7 and wore our coats by only the hood.

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of...They actually sided with the law.

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem solvers and inventors, ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all. And you're one of them. Congratulations!

Pass this on to others who have had the luck to grow as real kids, before lawyers and government regulated our lives, for our own good.

For those of you who aren't old enough, thought you might like to read about us. This my friends, is surprisingly frightening......and it might put a smile on your face:

The majority of students in universities today were born in 1986........They are called youth.

They have never heard of We are the World, We are the children, and the Uptown Girl they know is by Westlife not Billy Joel. They have never heard of Rick Astley, Bananarama, Nena Cherry or Belinda Carlisle.

For them, there has always been only one Germany and one Vietnam. AIDS has existed since they were born. CD's have existed since they were born. Michael Jackson has always been white. To them John Travolta has always been round in shape and they can't imagine how this fat guy could be a god of dance. They believe that Charlie's Angels and Mission Impossible are films from last year. They can never imagine life before computers. They'll never have pretended to be the A Team, RedHand Gang or the Famous Five. They'll never have applied to be on Jim'll Fix It or Why Don't You. They can't believe a black and white television ever existed. And they will never understand how we could leave the house without a mobile phone.

Now let's check if we're getting old...

1. You understand what was written above and you smile.
2. You need to sleep more, usually until the afternoon, after a night out.
3. Your friends are getting married/already married.
4. You are always surprised to see small children playing comfortably with computers.
5. When you see teenagers with mobile phones, you shake your head.
6. You remember watching Dirty Den in EastEnders the first time around.
7. You meet your friends from time to time, talking about the good Old days, repeating again all the funny things you have experienced together.
8. Having read this mail, you are thinking of forwarding it to someone.

Alarming...

Well, my alarm woke me up no problems this morning. Have spent most of my day with ear plugs in as some guys came in to start work on our Drainage system, they were using a huge Diesel powered saw to cut through the concrete so that tomorrow when the rest of the crew come in, they know where to dig. I've never heard such a noise! I might update again later as I'm currently getting changed after getting home from work.........

Late Nights, Early Mornings...

So, last night after I wrote on here I went to bed, was about 0100, but stayed awake to watch the Grand Prix Qualifying and the BTCC highlights that my Dad taped for me. Checked that my alarm was set for 0500 so I'd get up for work, and finally went to sleep at about 0230. woke up at 0516 wondering why my alarm hadn't gone off, and look at the clock - the alarm was turned off. I assumed that I checked the time but didn't actually turn the alarm on. Got to work at 0532 - only two minutes late! Spoke to Nic, Mum and Dad about it when I got home from work and they all said they heard my alarm going off, and heard me get out of bed and turn it off (I have to get out of bed as the clock is the other side of my room). This did not happen whilst I was awake, and I am slightly concerned by this! Anyway, I'm going to bed now, and my alarm is set - and definately turned on - to go off at 0625. Hopefully it'll wake me up in the morning, I'll let you know...........
