Thankfully it's only type 2 diabetes that can be controlled by changing my diet, which will also help my blood pressure, triglycerides and my weight.
No more Dr. Pepper, no more pies, no more chips, no more burgers, no more steak, no more chocolate, no more crisps, no more bacon, no more sausages and no more anything that tastes good! Oh, and I have to cut down on my alcohol intake too!

Sorry to hear that mate. I think I might be heading that way.... might already be there!
I don't think you have to avoid all that food/drink but just keep it under control.
All of that food and drink stuff is on a sheet that the Doc gave me to help with the blood pressure, but she said it would also help with the diabetes to avoid the bad stuff on there too.
The thing that got me is that I rarely drink anymore, even if I do have alcohol it'll only be a pint or two with dinner, but because something in my blood is high - that she said is only caused by alcohol - I have to cut down my acohol intake!
